YIS currently provides engineering and manufacturing services to the US Army’s Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) Prototype and Integration Facility (PIF). YIS is focused on engineering, design, prototyping, developmental testing, qualification and production of advanced technology solutions and their integration into various aircraft, ground combat systems and naval weapon platforms. YIS also has extensive experience with field support services and logistical support of military weapon systems. YIS is an 8(a) SBA Small Business ANC subsidiary of Yulista Holding, LLC, the federal contracting arm of the Calista Corporation— one of the 13 Regional Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs). The Calista Region is located in the southwestern part of Alaska where residents still speak their traditional language, and value their cultural way of life. Advantages of Doing Business With Us ANC 8(a)’s may be sole-sourced on Federal contracts of any size. Unlike other 8(a)'s, ANC's are not subject to the $3.5M cap on sole sources (Per 13 CFR 124.506(b)) and these awards cannot be protested (13 C.F.R. 124.517(a)). Additionally, DOD Contractors who offer subcontracts to ANC 8(a) firms receive 5% of the total value of the subcontract as an incentive per Section 504 of the Indian Financing Act of 1974 (25 U.S.C. § 1544).
