With an extensive background in accounting and medical practice management, Nancy has been instrumental in the formation and growth of a number of large medial groups in South Florida by building successful working relationships with physicians, practice administrators, legal and financial advisors. Her passion for effecting change in the landscape of healthcare has led her to take a strong leadership role in the management and development of these groups. From the business aspects of developing ways for practices to reduce the overall cost to deliver quality, cutting-edge healthcare for all, to empowering the groups to participate in current legislative matters affecting the delivery of healthcare in today’s changing political climate, Nancy has played a significant role in the design of these highly successful groups – one that builds partnerships with key players in the healthcare marketplace. Tammy L. Sabatini leads the operations at Think Big as a partner and COO. Tammy has a wealth of knowledge in implementations, training, practice efficiencies, interfaces, practice set-up, database building, and transition after implementing hundreds of practices onto athenahealth. She has been a national project manager for one of athena’s largest clients, a Fortune 500 company. Tammy started her career in retail management as the operations manager for TJX Companies for 7 years and then transitioned to the medical field in 1996. She has an extensive background in healthcare starting on the clinical side as a unit secretary for a large multi-specialty group and working her way up to office manager. Along the way she did medical assisting, credentialing, practice setup, billing and just about everything in between. After working on the clinical side for 13 years she moved back into management, but this time combined her experiences. Her love of helping others do better, give the best care and be profitable at it was apparent in her role as Director of Operations at an MSO that managed hundreds of physicians across the State of Florida. She has worked with more than a dozen healthcare management software products and mastered athenahealth’s software earning the Jedi title.
