About Desserts Required I have loved desserts for as long as I can remember. Growing up I loved the smell of freshly baked challah in my maternal great-grandmother’s kitchen, the incredible butter cookies from my paternal grandmother and the perfect pies my mother used to bake when company came over. Through the years, I have sold advertising time, owned a small baking business, taught baking classes and had a baking segment on our local NBC television affiliate for a period of time while juggling marriage, raising four children and volunteering in our community. Now my oldest two (Joshua and Nathaniel) have graduated college, Shoshana is in college and Samuel is enjoying second grade.
