We do custom research and development for clients whose operations involve complex systems. We produce executable computer code that simulates the emergent properties and mechanisms of those types of systems. We support policy makers and/or their operators who: 1) have a need to perform dynamic situation analysis over complicated and sometimes real-time data sets, 2) must be able to participate in critical decision-making, and 3) occassionally require man-in-the-loop simulation tools. Our Mission Our mission is to assist our clients by solving their complex social systems modeling and simulation needs. We can construct instantiable models from open-sourced data, client-provided sensitive data, explicit empirical data, or even 'hypothetical-constraint' data sets. All of our work is discrete, customer proprietary, and designed to satisfy client specifications. Complex systems typically are scale-free and self-similar. This refers to the fact that changes in the system's size and/or membership will likely not change the system's intrinsic nature. A distribution derived from a fractal process may be self-similar and/or scale-free however, its member values may not show the frequency-of-occurance ratios apparent in a Power Law described Pareto distribution. Thus, we cannot assume that fractal data is the result of a Complex System process. Other tests, like a Quantile-Quantile Analysis, may help.
