Michelle Ameerally received her Bachelors of Music in Musical Theater from the University of Miami and has over 2 decades of performing and teaching experience. Michelle has helped train numerous professional singers, actors, and dancers who have been seen in both Broadway and off Broadway productions, on television, in movies, and on the music charts. Michelle founded Broadway Kids Studio based on the belief that an education in the performing arts should not be viewed as an extracurricular activity but an essential skill available to everyone. BKS is where Michelle and our talented staff can pass on our passion for the arts to future generations. Gareth has been working at Broadway Kids for almost a decade and is currently the Director of Private Lessons. He loves working with children of all ages from pre-school to high school graduates. He has a passion for teaching and is always working to better his craft so he can provide the best instruction possible. Raul has over a decade of experience in sound engineering and is a Certified Avid Instructor for Pro Tools Certifications. Raul oversees the live performances in voice and instruments and is Music Director for Broadway Kids Studio’s renowned staged performances. Shauna has helped lead the BKS Dance Competition and Company teams to great achievements including numerous regional, national, and world championships. Video Production Coach Donald Dowd is an accomplished filmmaker with over 15 years of field experience both in front and behind the camera. His work in cinema ranges in everything from independent movies to mainstream motion pictures. Donald professionally performs in the film industry as a writer/director, music composer and screen actor. A graduate of the Art Institute, Donald holds two college degrees in Film/Video Production and Radio/Television Broadcasting. Formerly, a stand-up comedian, Donald performed at various nightclubs and city centers throughout the nation. Currently, Donald is a bi-costal traveler, that operates on both the East and West coasts of the country, adding a wealth of knowledge and experience he can now bestow upon the upcoming talent that is Broadway Kids Studio. “I came across Broadway Kids Studio by complete accident when I made the wrong turn in the plaza. My daughter was turning 5, loved Hanna Montana and singing into a pretend microphone. I went in and met Michelle and was immediately impressed by the Studio. Little did I know at that time what I found. I found the place that my daughter calls her second home, her future and her comfort zone.” ``As a parent, I wanted to find a place that my daughter could learn and grow in the arts. There are plenty of dance studios around but I wanted more for my daughter. We wanted a place that had dancing, singing, acting, musical instruments and theater. Finding Broadway Kids Studio was a dream come true. It had everything we wanted and so much more. Michelle and her fabulous staff are amazing. They truly care about the kids. Their professionalism in the arts is top notch. My daughter has learned so much and still continues to be challenged. Her training has even helped with her schooling. She has a lot of confidence and is not afraid to get up in front of people. It has been 4 years since we found Broadway Kids and we look forward to many more years.`` ``My 2 boys have been a part of the Broadway Kids studio family for the past 5 years. They have participated in the after school program, summer camp, hip hop competition, Star Performers band, TV & Commercials, Scenes & Monologues, Group Voice and many others. Not only has every class challenged them and every interaction with a teacher has helped them grow but they have also formed many significant and long lasting friendships that go far beyond the studio walls. Every time I see a Broadway kids production I think “it couldn’t possibly get any better than that” and then it does.`` ``Being a student at Broadway Kids Studio has been a life changing experience. Broadway Kids is a second home and a family.`` ``I started attending Broadway Kids Studio the summer going into 8th grade and I am now about to start my senior year of high school. As soon as I entered the studio, I got positive vibes from the friendly atmosphere. When I met the owners, Michelle & Aadil, I knew right away that this was going to be the place for me. They run this business at such a professional level and want what is truly best for everyone. The studio has come such a long way since I first auditioned for Star Performers that summer. There is now so much more space and we even have a recording studio! Through this whole period of time, I have progressed so much and have seen so many of my peers grow as musicians, performers, and individuals. It is such a wonderful thing to witness. The bonds created between the students is strong and the staff is genuine & talented. They encourage us to reach into our depths and pull out the best we can ask of ourselves. Not only will you lose yourself through what you love, but you will find yourself there, too. You''ll discover that you had more in you than you ever thought! For example, I went in just to sing, and now I play 3 instruments as well. I have been extremely fortunate to be a part of this supportive BKS family and I know BKS will continue to excel in everything it does.`` ``I came to Broadway Kids Studio for Summer Camp last year after a friend told me about it. My daughter was very excited about doing it but my son (9 years old at the time)…not too much. He wanted to attend Soccer Summer Camp. After the tour he decided to give it a try for one week. It only took 2 days for him to completely fall in love with BKS. He asked to be enrolled for the whole session. We then decided to do the after school program, my daughter made the Dance Competition Team, and they both have taken part in the shows that BKS has produced during this school year. It has been an amazing experience for them. My kids are so happy at the Studio. They never want to leave and want to do more and more. They feel at home at BKS! We’re delighted to be part of the BKS family and we couldn’t be happier about finding a place where they can be themselves and learn so many great things in such a positive environment!``
