Jacques joined USVP in 2005 and focuses on fostering USVP position as an active investor in the Israeli market and in the IT markets in the U.S. He is working with several USVP companies such as Chute, Cato Networks, DMO, Kenna Security, Qnovo, SupplyFrame, Zerto and ZypMedia. Previously, he has advised several companies including ClearShape (acq. CDN), Dune Networks (acq. BRCM) and served as executive chairman of Certess (acq Springsoft) and Synfora (acq. SNPS). Before joining USVP, Jacques was President and CEO of Monterey Design Systems from 1999 until its acquisition by Synopsys (SNPS) in 2004. Prior to that, he founded and served as General Manager of the European subsidiary of Epic Design Technology, which went public in 1994 (EPIC) and became Vice President of Strategic Sales following its acquisition by Synopsys in 1997. Earlier in his career, Jacques held a number of research and management positions at IMEC in Leuven, Belgium, at IBM’s Scientific Center in Haifa, Israel, and at STMicroelectronics in Grenoble, France. Fluent in English, French and Hebrew, Jacques is an active global participant in the industries and topics in which he is involved. He regularly speaks on the topics of international investing as well as IT and is often found speaking on panels within the U.S. and Israel. He holds a B.Sc. in computer engineering from Technion Israel Institute of Technology, and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He has published more than 30 technical papers and holds one U.S. patent. Mr. Goldman was a member of the Board of Trustees of Cornell University from 2005 to 2013 and was subsequently designated as Emeritus Trustee; Mr. Goldman was appointed in January 2015 to a three-year term to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s (PCAOB’s) Standing Advisory Group (SAG). Mr. Goldman holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. Mark Leslie is currently the managing director of Leslie Ventures, a private investment company. He is also a Lecturer in Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mark Leslie was the founding Chairman and CEO of Veritas Software. During his eleven-year tenure the company went from an annual revenue of $95,000 to $1,500,000,000. Mark currently serves on the boards of, or is an advisor to, a number of privately held high-technology corporations, including Alluxio, Cerebras, Clumio, Interana, StratoScale, Vera, Veritas, Versive, Yellowbrick, ZeroStack and Zerto. In prior years, he has served on approximately fifty public and / or private boards including Avaya, Big Switch, Brocade, Model N, NetApp, Nutanix, Pure Storage and Veritas and VMware. Mark received a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and mathematics from New York University in 1966 and completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development in 1980. Oded Kedem is co-founder and Chief Architect for Zerto. He is responsible for the technical design and delivery of Zerto Virtual Replication and leading the vision for the evolution of the product. A seasoned storage industry veteran, Oded previously served as director of software development for EMC, where he managed the entire RecoverPoint (formerly Kashya) research and development organization. Prior to leadership roles at Kashya and EMC, Oded worked on algorithmic research at Expand Networks, specializing in networking and WAN optimization.
