Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan grant helps staff Zaman’s new Culinary Arts Kitchen Join Zaman International for our Mother's Day travel-themed brunch, celebrating the women in your life and raising money to support local women. Zaman International is committed to addressing the basic needs and empowerment of marginalized women and children locally and internationally. What drew me to Zaman was the idea of working for a respectable organization and I felt like I could donate my time to an organization that really puts forth the effort to help out the needy within the community. Who we are Since its founding, Zaman has applied a needs-based, community-driven approach to all programming in order to help households meet their basic needs and break the cycle of poverty. We are dedicated to addressing the diverse needs of our clients. Unlike most organizations, Zaman is flexible and willing to work outside of strict programs and policies in order to respond quickly and effectively to our client’s needs. Zaman is such an amazing organization that does so much for the community. I enjoy volunteering with them because I feel like I'm actually making a difference in people's lives. I was able to sort and deliver food and clothing to women and children who needed a helping hand. Volunteering with Zaman is so rewarding, I am very grateful to have been able to do my part.
