Fitness, nutrition, and the overall well-being of myself, family and friends brought me to where I am today. As the owner and creator of the YardyFit brand, fitness has always been my passion. Born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL I was given the opportunity to live in the sun, and really indulge in being outside and exploring the world around me. Using everyday instruments as equipment, when I first decided to call my business YardyFit, it was not because of my largely influenced Jamaican background, but simply because I realized that I did not need to go to a gym to achieve fitness results. YardyFit by brand and association, I am Jamaican. I grew up eating “yard food” food derived from the ground, foods such as yams, Irish potatoes, and breadfruit (something everyone should try). I learned a lot about foods, fruits and the importance of consuming colorful meals, which I humbly thank my grandfather Isiah Hill for introducing me to. When my family would workout around me, I would watch in amazement of the strength they exerted. I fell in-love with calisthenics, using my own body as a tool for strength building. Mastering this art has allowed me to provide my clients with a variety of training styles. Being old enough now to understand that my passion would ultimately fuel my determination, I was introduced to fatherhood with the birth of my daughter Peyton. Peyton is my daily inspiration; my life gained new meaning once she was born into this world. I am even more driven to do things that I once thought were impossible. All I wanted was to make my dreams a reality, now I am watching my dreams manifest in ways that I am truly humbled and grateful for. My outlook on fitness is different, which is why I train different; I want to impact the lives of my client’s health, hence my philosophy on training “We Train Different”. trainer Zander Hill, based on Jamaican ideals of good food, nutrition and balance of work and play. Established in 2013, Yardyfit has always been focused on effective training methods that not only encourage permanent changes to a more healthy lifestyle, but also permanent results in mind and body.
