Marilyn Arkin has lived in Miami Shores for over 30 years and is neighbors with Dr.Yao. She has managed several veterinary clinics throughout South Florida. At home she has four dogs, one cat, a husband and daughter. She has a passion for animals as she does for dance. She does a great job at managing Yao Animal Hospital and keeps everything under control. Originally from Estonia, Anna attended Veterinary school there but upon moving to the U.S. she obtained her A.S. in Veterinary Technology from Miami Dade College in 2007. She brings over 17 years of experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare to our hospital. She has a passion for science and a love for animals and strives to provide quality care to clients' pets. She believes vet visits should be health-giving for the patient and educational for the client. She currently shares her home with five cats, one dog, a seven year old son and husband who are equally passionate about animals as she is. Anna is fluent in Estonian, Russian, and English.  Dani (short for Daniela) has lived in Miami, FL. for most of her life, but moved from Medellin, Colombia at two years old. Dani has had a passion for animals ever since she can remember, and is currently studying at Miami Dade College to become a veterinarian. Before working at Yao Animal Hospital, she worked at an animal clinic where she also volunteered since she was sixteen all throughout high-school before getting the job. She's got the passion and the enthusiasm that completes her personality and brings clients in. She is fluent in Spanish. Andrew is one of our vet techs and our all around Mr. Fix-it, dog trainer and car mechanic. He has been part of the Yao Animal Hospital family since 2005. Andy has always been passionate about animals; he owns a blue and gold macaw, a hedgehog, a Bulldog Mix, and two cats. Jackie has been with Yao Animal Hospital since 2004. Her congenial personality makes the client's experience worthwhile. She has been passionate about animals since childhood and has owned numerous amounts of pets. Her most recent companion is Jack, which she rescued. She is fluent in Spanish. Joan has been with Yao Animal Hospital since 2007. Her punctuality and attentive personality brings order to the hospital when things get a bit hectic. Joan has a baby girl named Abby and resides near Miami Shores. She is fluent in Creole. Jack comes to work with Jackie every day. He can always be counted on to steal your pet's treats and sit between your legs while you pay your bill. He can be very therapeutic to clients after they've lost a beloved pet by just sitting near them. He is our personal alarm system and always lets us know when someone has arrived at Yao Animal Hospital by barking.  Yao Animal Hospital (est 2003) is nestled in Miami's prestigious MiMo District  and has become a staple business along the Biscayne Corridor. But office is still open to sell medications and supplies.
