Xcel 360 started as a DREAM… a thought in the mind of Coach Chris back in 2009… through a combination of perseverance, an amazing program director, a team of incredible coaches, hardworking dedicated athletes and the support of all of our amazing Xcel families… That DREAM has now become a reality! Proof that if you THINK it… BELIEVE it’s possible… you can ACHIEVE anything! Here at Xcel 360, our job as coaches/leaders is to be more than just mentors, coaches and role models… we also have to serve as “professional disturbers.” We often have to shake people up a bit and pull them out of their comfort zone. We LEAD, INSPIRE and CHALLENGE our athletes to see things a little different and help them believe that they can accomplish goals and achieve skills they never thought possible! We have had athletes from all over the US train here as well as international athletes from countries such as England, France, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Sweden. Your child’s safety is of utmost importance as ALL of our staff is has passed background checks and are safety certified! Coach Jen and Myslef are also Professional Members of USASF which requires an additional background check and certification. We are constantly training with the top leaders in the industry on the newest and safest training techniques to not only get our athletes better but keep them safe as well! It has been amazing to watch their growth during the season and I attribute that to the great coaching staff. My kids ALWAYS look forward to going to cheer practice and that says a lot about the program. As a parent, I also appreciate the little things like organization, parents night out and access to great tumbling classes and private lessons. I am thankful that we have found a gym that we can call home. 🙂 We are a family of five who enjoy doing just about everything we can together. Xcel 360 has been amazing at accommodating us in this endeavor. We are lucky enough to have each child involved in extracurricular activities and even better than that all at the same place, Xcel 360!! Our daughter came to Xcel 360 after outgrowing her opportunities from the previous gym. She was only 9 years old and had been cheering for two years going from beginner to good level 2. In just a short period with Xcel they have cleaned up her tumbling, “xcellerated” her stunting abilities, and strengthened her desire and commitment. She is now competitive at a Level 5! In the midst of all the improvement our daughter has made, we have two boys who have been given the opportunity to cheer as well. We were not sure how they would take to this, but it turns out they enjoy the competition just like sis and have acquired amazing agility and body control by being participants at Xcel 360. They too have shown amazing growth going from not ever competing to solid level 3 all-star athletes and working on Level 5 Skills as well! This sport can be misunderstood by many- it is extremely difficult, highly critical, and can be taken very personal. The staff at Xcel 360 are professional and encouraging in so many ways, life is not always perfect but they see when things get stressful and take the time help people as much as they help build athletes. As a parent I cannot put into words all that Xcel 360 has done for our family, we cannot get enough of this place. The kids are involved in the All-star cheer leading, open gym on Fridays, spring break camps, summer camps, parkour programs, it is just too much fun for them. Believe it or not that is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Xcel 360 has to offer for others both young and old. Xcel 360 is always trying to find new ways to meet the needs and interest of the families in its community. Just this year alone they have expanded into new areas offering crossfit, karate, private training for adults and who knows what is next. I am proud to say that our family is always trying to xcel and not only has Xcel 360 done that for our children but as a family unit we have xcelled also. Thanks for building character in our kids, giving them a drive for perfection, developing competitive athletes, and helping us stay united as a family. The gym, Xcel 360, that Emma and Gracie cheer for is holding a contest for the kids and families that attend the gym where you write about how Xcel 360 has helped you and how you have “xcelled”. It got me thinking about just how far our girls have come since we first moved to Florida about a year and half ago. When Emma joined her cheer team last summer we had only been in Florida for a little over 6 months. We still didn’t know many people and the girls were hesitant to get out of their comfort zone. Emma’s sweet friend, Alli, encouraged her to join the team so they could spend time together. Emma was so excited to join but was also very nervous too. She worried she wouldn’t be able to pick up the skills fast enough and she worried she wouldn’t make friends. The first month of practices, she would cry on our way to the gym. She wanted so badly to cheer but was so nervous too. This past year, Ryan and I have watched Emma’s confidence grow and have seen a determination we didn’t know she had. Em’s coaches pushed her to do her best and try new skills. Emma’s positive experience inspired Gracie to try out for cheer too. Our family has met some wonderful friends and families through cheer. Xcel 360 has helped both Emma and Gracie to feel a part of our new community and has boosted their confidence both in cheer and in new situations. Our family is thankful to have our girls involved in such a great program with wonderful coaches – Coach Jen, Coach Chris, & Coach Gianna! They have helped our girls more than they know!
