Wounded Warrior Outdoors, Inc., established in October 2009 and registered under the Florida Department of State with the status 'Registered Non-Profit Corporation,' is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on providing therapeutic outdoor adventures to wounded servicemen and women. The organization offers these "Adventures Enabled" across diverse North American wilderness locations such as British Columbia, Canada; Florida; Kentucky; Alaska; and Texas. WWO's mission is to give Active Duty Warriors in transition the opportunity of a lifetime at no cost, facilitating experiences like bear hunting, alligator hunts, fishing excursions, turkey hunting, fly-fishing, and deer hunting. The organization covers transportation, lodging, meals, and all documentation expenses through private donations and volunteer contributions. With over 90% of donations going directly to benefit the participants, WWO selects more than a hundred wounded servicemen and women annually. High-standard host facilities provide comfort, and complete outfitting including gear, clothing, field transport, and even taxidermy services are included without charge. The organization emphasizes full accessibility and equipment provision to ensure participatory experiences, focusing on ability rather than disability. The organization's administration is fully volunteer-based with no paid salaries, relying entirely on private donations from individuals and corporations for support.
