In 2011, Workway was purchased by the “Bowmer” family from the original founders continuing its operation as a family owned business. The “Bowmer” family have been prevalent within the employment services industry for the last 25 years with John Bowmer, Workway’s Chairman, having been CEO and Chairman of Adecco SA. In 2012, Workway acquired BancForce, headquartered in San Diego to further broaden our ability to provide services to the Banking and Credit Union industries, enhancing our delivery to financial services sector and diversifying our business outside of the Real Estate industries. In 2013, Workway relocated its corporate headquarters from Burbank, California to Irving, Texas. In 2016, Workway merged with Regal Personnel, headquartered in Dallas to further broaden our ability to provide direct hire and executive search services with in the areas of Administration, Human Resources, Legal, Marketing and Operations, diversifying our business outside of the Banking, Credit Union and Real Estate industries. We currently have 50 internal employees with bricks and mortar branch locations in California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Florida while making contingent staff placements across 43 states in the United States. We expect to continue to open additional offices in key locations to continue to service our growing client base. John Bowmer was a multinational corporate executive for over 30 years & former chief executive officer in the recruitment industry, John has extensive experience managing and growing organizations, making acquisitions and maximizing company performance. He provides strategic oversight to the Workway in his capacity as Chairman. John is the former chairman of Swiss quoted Adecco SA, the world's largest staffing company where he was chief executive officer from its formation in 1996, through the merger of Ecco and Adia to 2002 when he became Chairman of Adecco. Prior to this, between 1992 and 1996 he was chief executive officer of Adia and between 1987 and 1992 he served in a variety of executive positions at Adia in the UK, Asia, Australia and the US. Previously, Mr Bowmer held a range of management positions in marketing and finance at companies including MAI plc, a financial services and media organization and Polaroid (UK) Ltd. He was a director of CP Ships from its flotation on the New York Stock Exchange in 2001 until its disposal to TUI AG at the end of 2005. He is an investor in, and adviser to, several private equity companies in the US. He was a non executive director of Hireright, an employment screening company, when it floated on NASDAQ until it was purchased in 2008 by a Private Equity company.
