Women in Apologetics (WIA) is a Christian non-profit organization whose sole focus is to equip, encourage, and educate women in Christian apologetics. We are also a content sharing site for female apologists who are theologically, philosophically, and apologetically inclined. We have a passion for encouraging and equipping other women in the church who are interested in learning how to think more deeply and intelligently about their faith. Here at Women in Apologetics we strive to live into Luke 10:27, which is why it’s our featured verse: The International Society of Women in Apologetics (ISWA). With the help of volunteers, Sarah created and opened womeninapologetics.com as a content sharing site with the hope that it would encourage and equip women to defend their Christian faith. ISWA was dissolved as a 501(c)(3) in the state of California in 2016. Women in Apologetics (WIA) as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the state of Florida. The vision God has given us at WIA is to encourage, educate, and equip Christian females to develop an evidential faith. It is also our mission to help female apologists gain experience teaching, speaking, and writing. Thus, our three main goals are 1) to have an annual WIA conference, 2) to provide academic apologetics support to females of all ages, and 3) to provide apologetics engagements and training for women. Jade Turner (left) and Rachel Shockey (right) met in-person for the first time on April 20, 2017 in St. Petersburg, FL. After getting to know each other better and sharing what led them to apologetics, they discussed WIA’s mission and vision. They prayed for God’s leading and His blessing and continue to pray over the developments of WIA. Cynthia is a Senior Systems Specialist at the Los Angeles County Office of Education. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and has been her church treasurer for ten years. She also facilitates a support group for Ex Jehovah’s Witnesses in California to help them heal from the effects of cult mind control and to refute the Watchtower doctrines. Krista has dedicated her life to helping others discover how to love God and walk in Spirit and in truth.
