Currently based in South Florida and open since 2011, WJH Racing Inc. comprises the husband and wife training team of William & Allison Hickey. graduating from Cornell University in 2004, Bill worked both as an assistant for trainer George Weaver and as an analyst for the Lexington bloodstock firm, EQUIX. While at EQUIX, Bill played a role in the selection of several quality runners, such as 2007 Bluegrass Stakes winner Dominican and 2010 Breeders' Stakes winner Miami Deco. For Mr. Weaver, Bill was the everyday exercise rider for several black type performers such as 2009 Restoration Stakes winner Boots Ahead and 2009 Demoiselle winner Tizahit. Allison began showing horses and rode point-to-points as a young girl in her hometown of Warrenton, Virginia. Once she found her way to the racetrack, her riding talents quickly became sought after by top trainers. During stints with Pletcher, Weaver, and LoPresti, Allison was legged up on Smoke n' Frolic, Saratoga County, and Wise Dan among many other stakes performers. We are very lucky to have a rider of her caliber on the team. 2017 was a breakout year for WJH Racing highlighted by the development of Richlyn Farm's undefeated Florida-bred stakes filly, Silver Bay (above).
