Dr. Winn has over 25 years of experience in a broad range of industries working with senior executives and public and private business owners in family business consulting, career assessment, organizational development, executive coaching, succession planning, team building, performance management, and leadership training. professional partnerships, to privately held family businesses. His approach combines empirical observation and feedback with seasoned judgment and common sense. Prior to establishing Winn Associates, Bill was a partner in a consulting firm. He was also an assistant professor in psychology and clinical instructor at Boston University as well as an adjunct faculty member at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. A graduate of Brown University, he received his doctorate in psychology from Boston University and received his clinical training at Massachusetts General Hospital where he was a fellow in psychology. Dr. Winn is member of the American Psychological Association, Massachusetts Psychological Association, New England Society of Applied Psychologists, Family Firm Institute and is affiliated with New Directions. Elaine has coached family and team members in small businesses and family enterprises on team building, succession planning, communication and conflict resolution, and managing life changing events as they impact work performance, the success of the organization and family relationships. We assist businesses to surface and discuss critical issues in a non-threatening way. We identify and understand the obstacles to addressing these challenges and to implementing change. We then provide feedback and coaching to facilitate a course of action, with continued support as needed, to optimize performance and to achieve the identified goals. Winn Associates also assists with succession planning or identifying and supporting the emerging strengths of younger family members to take on roles within the organization where they may rise as future leaders.
