About Williams Trucking Company, Inc. Williams Trucking Company, Inc. (formally RODS Trucking) was started in 2006, just before the economy began to take a downward turn. We started with one idea…change the way haulers are viewed. By doing this, not only did we survive, we’ve managed to invest in our infrastructure to provide better service to our customers. Prior to being in the trucking industry our backgrounds were in construction and project management. This provided us with a view of the common problems associated with hiring a hauler; safety, dependability, reliability as well as accountability. Our approach was to bring the trucking industry from a mere service provider to a partner in the completion of the project. There are several ways that we accomplish this: 1) Helping our customers find the materials they need, 2) Using our relationships and knowledge to provide a cost analyst from the available sources to determine the best source and lowest cost for delivery, 3) Having management on the project throughout the day, not just stopping by mid-morning and leaving. The reality is if the truck gets started wrong, you spend more time trying to fix it, than if you had started out doing it right. If you’re wondering how big we are, well, we’re family owned and operated. We’re not a large company that can afford to make mistakes and lose customers because we have plenty of work that can cover any losses. Part of what has made us successful is that we won’t take projects that we cannot provide the service the contractor needs. We take pride in every project we’re on, from house pads to power line projects. As I mentioned earlier, we value accountability. We all know accidents can happen anywhere and anytime. Some of the areas we service are Commercial Site Dev., Power Transmission, Landfill Closure and Municipal Projects.
