Mr. David Nyland, founder of White Engineering Surfaces Corporation, was working on needs for ceramic insulator coatings for jet aircraft. He saw the utilization of advanced thermal coatings limited by problems of low coating density and limited bond strength between the coating and the substrate. During this time, Mr. Nyland engineered a sprayed surface technology to combat these major limitations. He developed and trademarked the WESCOAT® process, and therefore was awarded several large military aerospace contracts. He called the science he practiced ‘Surface Engineering Technologies.’ As was true in 1962, and remains so today, the engineering behind the WESCOAT® coating process makes sprayed components perform better, last longer and therefore reduces total costs for White’s customers. WESCOAT® remains unsurpassed for density and bond strength.
White Engineering offers its customers a complete manufacturing, coating, finishing and repair facility. Our 40,000 sq. ft. campus has an accomplished metallurgical lab to provide certifications and assures that our high quality standards are met.
Offering several different WESCOAT® thermal coatings, White Engineering has the ability to fit the needs of each customer. Orders that are shipped from White Engineering go through our isolated inspection room to assure the quality and the safety of our customers’ parts before shipment.
As a certified FAA repair station and a true One-Stop-Shop enables White Engineering to bring complete quality control and efficiency to any product line.
