Whistling Pines Foliage, Inc. was founded in 1949 by a group of Ohio State Professors. In February of 2004, the company was purchased by Alan and Shirley Reichwein. Alan had been the general manager since 1994. Their son Douglas joined the team full-time in the spring of 2007. Whistling Pines employs over 40 full-time workers and some local part-time teenagers from the community. With over 70 acres of land, the Reichwein family envision a thriving and diverse operation with a wide customer base both national and international. The opportunities are endless. Being farmers, they are resilient and willing to work. This is a company building for the future.
