The founder and principal architect of Datatec (Westcon-Comstor’s parent company), Jens Montanana currently serves as the CEO of Datatec and assumed the role of executive chairman of Westcon-Comstor in 2017. In 1994, Jens became chairman and CEO of Datatec, which listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in November 1994. He co-founded the U.S. start-up Xedia Corp. in Boston, Massachusetts, an early pioneer of network switching and one of the market leaders in IP bandwidth management, which was subsequently sold to Lucent Corp. Jens also served as managing director and VP of USRobotics Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of USRobotics Inc. which was acquired by 3Com in 1997. He has previously served on the boards and subcommittees of various public companies, and currently serves as chairman of Corero PLC. Jens graduated with a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Reading.
In addition to his role as Group CFO for Datatec, Ivan Dittrich became the CFO of Westcon-Comstor in September 2017, responsible for the global finance functions of the company. On 30 May 2016, he re-joined Datatec as Group CFO after three years at Vodacom, under the same title. Prior to his tenure at Vodacom, Ivan spent 13 years with Datatec holding a number of senior executive positions, including Group CFO. He began his career at Deloitte in South Africa and also worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in London. Ivan is qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and has a B.Com. from the University of Pretoria. He also has completed the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership program at SaÏd Business School.
