This opens the door for WESCO management along with a private investment company – Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) – to purchase Westinghouse Electric Supply Company and create WESCO Distribution, Inc. CD&R sells WESCO to The Cypress Group, who forms the holding company WESCO International, Inc. WESCO acquires Bruckner Supply Company, Inc., a provider of integrated supply management solutions and MRO products to Fortune 500 customers. The initial public offering (IPO) of WESCO common stock is launched, trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "WCC.” WESCO introduces LEAN continuous improvement program to increase efficiency and effectiveness across the company. Forbes names WESCO as one of their 400 Best Big Companies, an honor we will receive again in 2006, 2007, and 2009. WESCO acquires Carlton-Bates Company, a provider of original equipment products and supply solutions to industrial customers. WESCO acquires Communication Supply Corporation, a national distributor of data communications products for enterprise and data center customers. WESCO acquires TVC Communications, LLC, a leading distributor of broadband communications products serving the cable, telecommunications and satellite industries in the United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe. WESCO launches “One WESCO”, our strategy to provide customers with comprehensive solutions to address their OEM, MRO, and Capital Project needs by bringing together our product portfolio, service offerings, and geographic footprint through a single point of contact. WESCO acquires Calgary, Alberta based Brews Supply, Ltd., a full line distributor of industrial, utility and commercial products. WESCO acquires Conney Safety Products, LLC, a premier distributor of MRO safety products for customers across all WESCO end markets. WESCO acquires EECOL Electric Corp., one of Canada’s premier full-line distributors of electrical equipment, products and services. EECOL, WESCO’s largest acquisition to-date, added 57 branches in western Canada and 20 branches in South America. EECOL has a strong warehouse based business serving the industrial, oil and gas, mining, utility, and commercial and residential construction customers. WESCO acquires Hazmasters, Inc., an Ontario based company with locations across Canada. Hazmasters is a leading distributor of safety products and services to customers in the industrial, construction, commercial, institutional and government markets. WESCO acquires Hill Country Electric Supply, a leading distributor of electrical products to the commercial construction market in Texas. WESCO acquires Needham Electric Supply, a leading electrical distributor serving the commercial construction market in New England and the lighting national accounts market across the U.S. WESCO acquires Atlanta Electrical Distributors, LLC, a leading electrical distributor serving the commercial construction and MRO markets in Georgia.
