Wekiwa Consulting is a boutique consultancy firm based on a small team of highly experienced professionals that have served the Department of Defense (DoD) and understand how to conduct business with the government. They have teamed up to provide on-demand services to small businesses that need the expertise of professionals who have worked within the Federal and state governments. Wekiwa Consulting aims to augment your existing staff with capabilities and insights that you do not currently have, or may not necessary need on a full time basis.
Wekiwa Consulting is structured in a “hub and spoke” model. The center of the hub is R. Daniel “Dan” Dague, PhD, PMP. Dan serves as the primary customer service representative and lead for the financial analysis, contracts, and project management competencies. The “spokes” are each of the competencies that the hand-selected professionals bring to the team. Dan Dague, founder of Wekiwa Consulting, with his trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and visits to Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, and Hovenweep came to understand about how Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs), Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHOs), and other Native-owned businesses ultimately benefit their shareholders and communities. He felt a need to contribute to this beneficial arrangement for the shareholders. Dan decided that he could focus his contracting and business career by helping small, disadvantaged businesses in general, and Native-owned business specifically. In his time serving the Department of Defense, he helped award nearly twenty contracts to ANCs, and today continues to advise and help small business owners and managers on how to compete for, win, and manage government contracts.
