WEEKS MARINE, INC., CRANFORD

Our company has three key divisions—Construction, Dredging and Marine Services—which are bolstered by two major subsidiaries, Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc. and McNally International, Inc. Our vast reach and deep expertise, combined with the sheer size and diversity of our equipment fleet, enable us to serve as a one-stop shop for clients in both the private and governmental sectors. Established in 1919, our family-owned company has grown rapidly in recent decades. We continue to strengthen our operations through the acquisition of leading businesses combined with frequent upgrades to our fleet of top-grade equipment. We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service, environmental sensibility, operational efficiency and a long-standing commitment to safety. We are headquartered in Cranford, New Jersey, and manage a network of regional offices in Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Ontario and Nova Scotia. With nearly 100 years of experience in the maritime construction industry, Weeks Marine, Inc. is built upon a shared vision of achieving excellence. Founded by Francis H. and Richard B. Weeks in 1919 as the Weeks Stevedoring Company, the company started with two floating cranes in the Port of New York, handling bunker coal and dry ballast. By World War II, the company had expanded, with seven cranes in its fleet. Due, in part, to the workload of the war effort, modernization of the fleet began as the cranes' original wooden hulls were replaced with durable steel. Starting in the 1950s, the Weeks expanded their company into marine projects outside stevedoring; they began performing salvage, dredging, and construction work and installing navigational aids for the United States Coast Guard. The company also became the prime contractor assigned to remove abandoned piers and vessels for the Army Corp of Engineers - work that continues today. The 1960s was a period of firsts in terms of equipment, with the purchase of Weeks' first crane to be used outside of stevedoring its first vessels (1960) and first dump scow (1962). Over the next 10 years, the Weeks' barge fleet grew proportionally, creating the infrastructure for current operations. During the 1970s, the first dredge, the first large tug and 500 pieces of floating equipment were purchased to broaden the company even further. The 1980s and 90s represented a period of marked growth by Weeks, primarily through the acquisition of other marine companies throughout the United States. Acquisitions included M.P. Howlett (1983), Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc. (1989), American Dredging Company (1993), and TL James (1998). It was also during this time that Weeks Stevedoring Company officially became Weeks Marine, Inc. Most recently, Weeks acquired McNally Construction, Inc., a leading Canadian tunnel and marine contractor (2011). Today, Weeks Marine, Inc. continues to strategically expand its fleet and equipment stores both strengthening the company and exceeding the current demands of the industry. © 2016 Weeks Marine, Inc.     #37 on the Top 200 Environmental Firms List #34 on the Top 200 Environmental Firms List The Weeks Marine community—the company and its employees—is committed to an Incident and Injury-Free (IIF) workplace. IIF is not a goal, not a number, not a priority, and not a result. It is a mindset and a value. When an IIF attitude is nurtured, people do not live and work safely out of motivation to be in compliance with some standard or to avoid punishment, but because it is the right thing to do. The goal of Weeks Marine is to provide project support that encourages an environment free of hazards for all individuals within the project scope—both contractors and the public alike. Weeks Marine is committed to the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental Management (HS&E); to this end, we have created and implemented Health, Safety, and Environmental Manuals, which follow the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Safety Management System, OHSAS 18000/ISO 14001, and the AWO Responsible Carrier Program. The HS&E Management systems are an extension of IIF® as it fills an important part of the overall IIF Integral Model—namely, policies, procedures, work processes, and training. Safety and Health Management Center - Safety-Reports: a web-based iPhone OS/Android smartphone/Tablet software solution used to reduce time spent in creating safety-audit and observation reports, and corrective-action closeout. It also improves the accuracy of tracking and provides real-time leading indicator data. This system helps to analyze trends using graphical data and helps to develop timely intervention and targeted special emphasis programs in our journey to provide an Incident and Injury Free work environment. The Incident and Injury-Free journey is meant to provide an environment that continually encourages each employee to make and sustain a commitment to the highest level of safety awareness. Making it personal, relevant, and important impacts their choices and actions, so that they go home incident and injury free every day. © 2016 Weeks Marine, Inc.     Code of Conduct and Business Ethics The Weeks Marine Compliance Program is comprised of corporate controls to ensure that we adhere to all regulations, policies, laws, and procedures.
