Webb Farmers Supply Company    Ross Street     Heflin, Alabama   1977 In 1946, Garth Webb formed Farmers Supply Company in Heflin, Alabama. The company started with seed, fertilizer, and hardware as the prime business, then ventured into ready mix concrete, building materials, sand, and gravel. Dedication to the customer’s needs has been our guiding principle from the start. Current owner, Phil Webb, bought the company from his father, Bobby, in 1980. Since then, Webb has grown to offer more than just concrete and building materials adding the flooring division in 2006.  We have expanded to serve our customers with all materials necessary to complete a project-- from the foundation up. We proudly serve six locations in East Central Alabama-- Heflin, Oxford, Pell City, Centre, Roanoke, and Birmingham. We also serve their surrounding areas including Gadsden and parts of West Georgia.  Our showrooms give customers the opportunity to experience our products firsthand.  Although most people know us from our ready mix business, there is much more to Webb than just concrete. Heflin, Alabama native and small business owner Phil Webb has a passion for community development and thriving economy. His commitment to excellence has made Webb Concrete & Building Materials one of the most successful family owned businesses in the state.   With success comes hard work. Phil is no stranger to either. Immediately following high school graduation in 1976, Phil started work at what was then "Farmer's Supply Company", the family business his grandfather founded in 1945. Phil purchased the business from his father in 1982 and has grown it into the top notch company it is today, with ready mix concrete plants in Oxford, Pell City, Heflin, and Roanoke and building materials locations in Heflin, Oxford, Pell City, Centre, and Birmingham. Webb also has a Flooring division in Pell City and maintains hardware stores in Heflin, Pell City, and Centre. Although he is well known for philanthropy, the quality most often attributed to Phil is that of having a servant's heart, both in his community and within his company. He is involved in the day to day operations of his company and develops personal relationships with employees. The ability to serve is the basis for every venture Phil undertakes. Service is the most important element of his business philosophy and he expects his staff to adopt that same philosphy, To that end, Phil serves on the Board of Directors for many organizations, currently to include Calhoun County Home Builders Association, JSU Foundation, JSU School of Business and Industry and Board of Visitors, Calhoun County Economic Development, and Noble Bank & Trust, and most recently Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, The Donoho School, and YMCA of Calhoun Coounty. He served on Habitat for Humanity the past six years which is the focus of this year's "Phil Webb Square Foot Challenge" to raise funds for the next Habitat Home in Calhoun County. . He is Chairman of the Greater Alabama Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Business Council of Alabama and the Alabama Concrete Industries Association. An avid sports fan, Webb serves on the Selection Committee for the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
