Humble and hard-working are the core values I’m now known for and I’m certainly proud and deserving of the label of self-made. While most talked about hard work I lived it; sacrificing years worth of time with friends and family to build businesses and better my life and the lives of those around me. Never having anything handed to me I’ve forged my own way through South Florida for well over a decade; working alongside absentee owners while salvaging failed businesses and improving the already successful one’s along the way. I’ve learned as much from the projects I have been apart of that failed as I have from the successes and I’ve now been blessed to have reached a point in my career where the failures aren’t forgotten, but they’re fortunately far behind me. I was born in Florida, but raised in the Midwest. I began working at just 14 washing dishes at the neighborhood steak house; later learning to bartend in college at the age of 19. Arriving back here in 2005 with only $1,000 and no car I would walk to the little Rock & Roll bar in Ft. Lauderdale I helped concept and open; by the time we had expanded twice I’d worked my way to a bike and then to a proper vehicle. Management was a perfect fit and when jobs became scarce I learned Marketing to stay ahead of the game; when my graphic designer quit unexpectedly I taught myself digital design and when it came time to build my own bar I packed up my tools and made it happen.
