Wesley Michael Spano was born on September 25, 1996. He entered this world as an Angel and left this world as an Angel. He had everything to live for…Family, Friends, and a promising future. His future would undoubtedly be filled with Baseball…his ultimate love, Music…his unique and heartfelt talent, Friends…enjoying everything this earthly world could indulge, Family…who would continue to share in traditions filled with love, and certainly Legacy…in his future children who would fill his heart with never-ending joy and happiness. Wesley grew up displaying kindness to all who surrounded him. He shared a love and concern for others which will continue as his legacy. On January 12, 2016, Wesley left us on earth but with the unending love of his family and friends will continue his mission of helping others. #WesleyHelpingYou Child loss is not an event, it is an indescribable journey of survival. I am a Mother living each day wondering what my Son would have been. What I have come to realize is that I need to share what my Son was so that he will continue in us all. My Son Wesley was a beautiful soul who left us way to soon. Although I do not have the ability to comprehend its entirety, I know that my Son helped an immeasurable amount of people in his very short 19 years of living on earth. Wesley taught others about love by sharing his love. Wesley gave of himself unconditionally until his last breath. Wesley sacrificed himself in order to assure the happiness of those surrounding him. My Son, Wesley Michael Spano, was an Angel among us all with a smile which was irreplaceable. Those of us who were fortunate to have him in our lives will continue his legacy through our acts of kindness towards others. This organization was started in Memory of Wesley Michael Spano who left us all too soon. Wesley left his mark on all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. His kindness will continue to live on through the efforts of his family and friends who will help others as Wesley taught us to do during his very short 19 years of life. W.H.Y.? Get Help’s mission is to inspire you to seek help for yourself and others when in a depressed or suicidal mindset. Our goal is to help reduce the loss of life by suicide and to aid other suicide prevention organizations in raising awareness and providing education on college campuses in Florida and throughout the country. On behalf of the Spano/Hirsch Family, I would like to thank our friends, loved ones, and our STA Baseball Family who supported us this morning. We were beautifully surprised by the very large turnout for Team W.H.Y.? Get Help in Memory of our Angel Wesley. Each day that has gone by in these last 22 months has been hard to manage for us. However, your love and kindness has embraced us and helped us to breathe once more. Today your generosity and of those who donated and could not attend, helped raise awareness and funding for the AFSP to continue serving our communities.
