Working Hunts Point for 7 years introduced Raul to the fundamentals of the Produce Industry. Experience at C H Robinson and Del Monte Fresh seasoned his career in sales, logistics, management and directorship. In 2007, Raul joined with Ronnie Cohen and Bill Vogel of Tavilla Sales in L A, to form Vision Import Group, LLC., as its Excecutive Vice President and Managing Partner. Attention to High Quality Growers and Customer Satisfaction have created a successful and expanding organization. Ronnie is third generation in the produce industry with over 20 years of experience. He began working for his family business,Shapiro and Cohen Inc in Hunts Point market. The experience he had in New York has allowed him to transitionfrom a traditional wholesaler to an importer, grower’s agent and marketer of many commodities over the years to the present. George has over 25 years’ experience in the produce industry. George has performed every task in the produce field from transportation, warehouse management, sales and procurement. Currently George sells to a broad array of customers along with overseeing the company carrot program. The newest member of the team. Allan comes from a family with a rich history in the produce industry, where he grew up working in the business. He has joined the team after several years working for a leading Fortune 100 company. Carolina holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a Masters in Economy. She worked in the National Financing Corporation in Guayaquil – Ecuador, as a Treasury Analyst for 4 years. She has experience in managing negotiations through Stock Market Exchange and investment portfolios. Lindsay holds a Master’s degree from the University of South Florida. She worked for SUPERVALU, Inc for nine years in their East Coast Field Buying Office handling many different aspects of the produce business. Her experience includes produce procurement, logistics, and retailing. Her background makes her an excellent fit for our sales team at Vision Import Group’s new southeast location. Yen has a background in business with a bachelors in business management. He comes with 10 plus years’ experience in management, international sales, logistics, warehouse management, marketing and procurement. Yen is currently joining the sales team. Darryl is an experienced professional with 16+ years in Financial Planning & Analysis. He has a strong expertise in managing, budget preparations, variance analysis and cost reduction. Darryl began his career at IBM in their Global Services Division managing several outsourcing contracts and most recently as a Senior Manager of FP&A for Michael Page International North America region. He holds a bachelor degree from Fordham University in Business administration with a concentration in Finance. The new member of Vision Import Group, Merly Garcia has been working for over 17 years in the accounting area, first for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co in the accounts payables department and then as an account specialist. She also worked for a well know East Coast magazine distributor, Hudson News, in the accounts receivables department. Ruben Gutierrez holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from The University of Texas Pan American. His produce career begun after graduation from the university in a produce foodservice company as an assistant produce buyer. As a child Ruben lived in a farm own by his family in Mexico, and is where his passion for produce started. In the company Ruben plays different roles. He is in charge of logistics, inventory, sales, and quality assurance. Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting and Finance. Started working in Accounts Receivables since 2011.
