About Visible Light Visible Light was founded in 1995 by Steve Perlman following the closure of FutureTel's software development office in Orlando, Florida. FutureTel, an early manufacturer of hardware MPEG encoders, consolidated its operations in Santa Clara. With one of the first secure transactional sites in the early days of the Internet, Visible Light attracted Compcore Multimedia and became worldwide distributor for their SoftPEG software MPEG-1 player. In 1997, Visible Light introduced the OnStage® technology for embedding MPEG-1 playback onto a CDROM for universal playback. OnStage became well known as the toolset for WebDVD application development worldwide. By 2005, the OnStage DVD for PowerPoint plug-in was being used to build MPEG 1 & 2 playback into thousands of presentations. With a strong reputation for supporting its customers, Visible Light became technology distribution partner representing several of the most prestigious lines of Digital Video products. In 1998, Visible Light added Optibase and Darim Vision. In 2001, Visible Light attracted Custom Technology (Japan) and became their worldwide distributor of Cinema Craft products. Visible Light has been there for you as technology has evolved from analog to DVD to HD, and CDROM to streaming media.
