For those who landed here through a random search or scavenger hunt, perhaps you’ll find our Brand Facilitator’s Quiz fun and intriguing in our attempt to develop Brand Champions everywhere. Early in our history we defined “virtual hospitality” as “the ability to produce hospitality whenever you need it, wherever you need it.”
This led to the development of “house brands” which are Company designed concepts with the look and feel of a national or regional brand. House Brand Design comes in the form of logo design, trade dress, menu boards, uniforms, and themed food and beverage offerings. Additionally the major food service suppliers and manufacturers began offering their “brands” such as Sysco’s “Block & Barrel” Deli or US Foods “Metro Deli,” “Boars Head Deli” and “ROMA Pizza & Pasta” to name a few.
We learned however that the key to giving these products true brand identity and recognition rests with a local brand champion. A local manager or team member needs the authority and commitment to carry out and deliver the brand expectation. Key actions include refreshing menu items and establishing a relationship with the manufacturer’s implementation team. Finally we worked with our clients to develop unique or one of a kind concepts to complement their venue or facility brand. At a casino perhaps it’s the “Black Jack Lounge” or at a stadium it’s the “Red Raider’s BBQ stand” or “Crimson and Gold restaurant.”
