The Surgical Technology associate’s degree program is accredited upon recommendation by the Accreditation Review Committee/Surgical Technology, Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA) through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Graduates are eligible to take the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) examination administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), the successful completion of which is required for employment as a Surgical Technologist in the states of Idaho, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
