Established in 1942 on 80 acres of farmland in Greece, New York, the organization has evolved into a notable leader in trauma-informed care. By 2020, Villa of Hope aimed to attain recognition as a leader in this field and successfully achieved Sanctuary® Certification from the Andrus Institute for Human Rights in 2017.
