Prior to NED, he was a Senior VP for Spaulding & Slye Colliers’, New England’s largest real estate advisory services company. Additionally, he was Port Director for the Massachusetts Port Authority overseeing the maritime division and real estate group. As Port Director, Mr. Cox was responsible for revitalizing the Port of Boston. He created the “Port Optimization Plan” which strategically reorganized all port functions. This plan greatly increased the Port of Boston’s efficiency which reduced costs and increased tonnage per man-hour of work. Mr. Taormina has served in senior management positions in the United States Port Industry since 1974. He is currently the Principal / Director of Portdirections LLC, a California limited liability company, and serves as an Affiliated Principal to Vickerman and Associates for port authority management, governance, infrastructure and capital development planning, and strategic planning implementation. (Commercial Property Management and General Cargo Operations) Tom Russo is an energy and environmental expert with over 30 years experience at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). He brings extensive experience to Vickerman & Associates Ports and Harbor clients in planning and siting Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Import and Export Terminals, natural gas and crude oil pipelines, liquid petroleum gas (LPG) projects and crude-by-rail terminals. He also has in-depth knowledge of the safety, security and environmental impacts of such projects and electric power generating facilities. Tom is well respected throughout the energy industry and environmental community and by his former peers at FERC as someone who is thoughtful, creative, results-oriented and fair.
