Sean Bode is a decorated Army officer, combat veteran, Founder and CEO of Veteran’s Journey, focused on addressing the career transition for Veterans by enhancing how organizations recruit and engage their Veteran workforce. With over sixteen years of service, he currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member teaching Military Science at the University of Central Florida.  Sean transitioned off of Active Duty into an Executive role with the grocery chain, ALDI, leading regional multi-store operations.  While at ALDI Sean delivered the highest financial return across the division with multi-year double digit sales growth created through developing, empowering, and motivating team members.  Sean then worked as a Human Resources Business Partner for a Fortune 500 Company and one of the happiest places on earth.  His primary role was a strategic consultant for a Senior Executive client and their eleven Executive direct reports, developing and leading employee experiences for 9,600 employees within the $1B operation.  Sean engaged in the Company’s Veteran hiring initiatives, which led to the employment of over 7,000 Veterans in a four year period.  Sean helped establish a bi-coastal Military Diversity/Employee Resource Group.   Sean has been featured by the PBS series “Veterans Coming Home”. He shared his transition story at the inaugural Veteran’s Institute in support of the company’s CEO and First Lady, Michelle Obama, and has spoken on military to units, including CENTCOM. He has consulted for organizations and non-profits across the nation.  Sean graduated in the top ten percent of his MBA program from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, building upon his Leadership BA from the University of Richmond.
