Listening carefully to board expectations and instructions is where we begin and how we build upon our relationship with you. We listen, explain, discuss, and listen again until we completely understand every facet of your community and how you want it managed. Once we are satisfied that we understand your expectations, we run with it. We meet with service providers to ensure that they fully understand Board expectations and the scope of their commitments to the association. Our on-boarding (transition) process from self-management or another management company and ongoing communications involve all of our department heads: Accounting, Administration, Customer Service, Project Coordinator, and your Manager. Department supervisors are available to the board when your manager is not. In summary, the key to successful management is open communications between the board and management and the owners and management. Furthermore, Vanguard sets itself apart in the field of HOA Management by being one of the very few companies that requires accountability from our staff and managers. Each month, managers have reports and protocols to ensure that we provide each association with the level of service for which they contracted. Serving Tampa Bay, Vanguard Management Group is but one of a handful of homeowner association management companies with a 25 year track record. In 1988, we provided condominium management services only. Our first client then, remains our oldest client now. A few years later, we expanded by adding HOA management services, followed by mobile-modular home management, cooperatives (co-ops), and 55 plus adult communities. In 1988, when I first offered association and community management services, I had one employee and me. Without my degree and background in accounting, the two of us couldn’t have handled the communities we started with and those that followed. Skip forward twenty-five years. Our personnel have increased to twenty-four with eleven being managers. Furthermore, I understand that we fall into the top 100 management companies with respect to staff and client size. I also understand that there are more than 2500 HOA management companies in the state of Florida.
