Michael brings more than 20 years of experience in health care management expertise to the development, management and implementation of oncology services. As founder and CEO of US Cancer Specialists, Michael works directly with executive and clinical leadership to assist with all phases of oncology service line development, strategic planning, and integrative oncology services. His excellent relationship-building and communication skills have helped organizations achieve strong financial performance through strategic program growth and operational efficiency measures. Prior to pursuing his own consulting company, Michael was a consultant for GE Healthcare, serving as the Oncology Solutions Manager for the East Coast. Here Michael honed his skills in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Accelerated Change Management. Michael had the opportunity to assists health care organizations’ senior leadership in prioritizing program initiatives, accurately interpreting the competitive landscape, anticipating emerging trends, and developing sound strategies for growth focused around patient centered care. Michael has provided his expertise to organization such as Varian Medical Systems, for key engagements focusing on departmental throughput modeling, including cost of care delivery, utilization and productivity, workflow improvement, Healthcare Analytics and Big Data. Michael is a regular contributor to online publications within ACHE Healthcare Consultants Forum, ACE, AHRA, as well industry publications such as the Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators and AHRA. Michael also has been selected to speak at the following various organizations Annual Conferences: SROA (Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators), AHRA (Association of Healthcare Radiology Administrators), ACE (Association of Cancer Executives), and ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists). Michael also serves on various oncology committees and also provides mentorship for new oncology administrators.
