URBAN SYSTEMS OF AMERICA, LLC, Fort Lauderdale

Ours', is a story of how a company we started called, "Urban System of America" (U.S.A.) helped us learned that Cities can produce, somewhat like the network of rural, family‐owned farms once did, many of the healthy and nourishing foods necessary to feed, and reclaim the health of our increasingly un‐fit, and largely urban based population in America. This story could easily have been a case of mistaken identity or just another example of a well‐intended business idea gone astray, but faith and determination have prevailed. In 2013 when the three of us (Gino, Arthur, and Arlon) first sat down to discuss our plans to form a new business, we were filled with excitement and a vision of changing the world we lived in with dramatic, new ideas about urban redevelopment, conceived, as we believed to come On the other side of the track, sometime literally and sometime figuratively speaking, from this almost desperate food related dilemma was an oppositely and brilliantly coveted, rising star movement called the "Grow and Eat Locally Grown Foods Movement." Fueled by the enlightened attitudes of both health-conscious baby boomers and information savvy millennials, this movement portended the ability of local urban gardening plots to be able to supply urban dwellers with a supply of fresh foods that gave assurance of being non-GMO and containing fewer toxic materials. To our delight, the two seemingly opposing realities had actually collided in a friendly kind of way through the seismic and pervasive urban garden movement. The confluence of these epic needs became the foundation for the Urban Systems of America "iFarm" branded initiatives. Today Urban Systems of America is designing and deploying innovative urban farming and food retailing systems that we believe will pave the way for a truly high capacity, high yield urban farming program and an equally significant, and affordable foods retailing venture that will deliver the full advantages of locally grown produce to everyone in our modern urban environment. We have also developed and are introducing new standards in fresh produce cultivation and quality, that will rest along-side natural and organic varieties, and we believe will change the way you think about the foods you eat. U.S.A.'s lines are designed to encourage and can support industrial level, urban faming ventures, commercial applications for local markets restaurants, or a grocery chain that wants to introduce locally grown products at the point of sale, or can be applied to a municipally supported, community gardening program to increase access right where people live. The onboard systems will not only keep track of crop progress, but are capable of being set to make adjustments for several basic features like water and pH levels, room temperature, and nutrient content, and will also alert you through text messaging or alarms when other critical grow room or plant conditions need attention, so your production goes on year-round no matter the outside environment. High tech urban farming which employs the emerging container cultivating system can be configured to address an infinite variety of deployment requirements with the promise to increase production levels of locally grown, healthy food options, at commercially viable and sustainable levels.
