In addition to co-founding Urban Street Development, Hooper is founder of Hooper Construction, Hooper Realty and Hooper Management, and is a partner in The Restaurant People—South Florida’s premier dining, -which he co-founded with Petrillo. Under the pair’s leadership and direction, The Restaurant People owns and operates some of the hottest restaurants and nightlife venues in downtown Fort Lauderdale, including YOLO, O Lounge, S3, Tarpon Bend and Vibe Las Olas. Over the years, Hooper and Petrillo have built a dynamic partnership due in large part to their shared entrepreneurial spirits and innate foresight in to community rejuvenation and redevelopment. Each has a creative and pragmatic train of thought which they apply to the different companies develop, which allows them to deliver a complete product that not only meets the budget but that is attractive to the end user, thus helping to mitigate the risk in a risky business. Urban Street Development specializes in design, development, construction, property management, real estate acquisition, programming, concept development, leasing and sales for a variety of businesses, properties and neighborhood revitalization projects. Led by the dynamic team of Alan Hooper and Tim Petrillo, Urban Street has designed, developed, constructed, managed, leased and sold a multitude of successful projects over the years. Together, they have successfully carved out a niche within the development of urban neighborhoods. The pair has built a “re-development” business in Urban Street that focuses on revitalization in areas within a variety of markets that possess the potential for growth and renewed lifestyle.
