Lee Hutchison, AIA, and Jessica Hutchison-Rough, AIA, LEED AP, lead a highly talented and experienced staff. Following the design phases and completion of final construction documents, Lee and Jessica help assemble a building a team designed to guide the project from the perfectly matched builder and building budget to the interior designer. Our vast experience has given us intimate knowledge of the many design review boards, building techniques, and community requirements, helping streamline design, approvals, and building. As the architect of your project, we specialize in putting together the best possible team to take your project from the planning stage to moving in. We will coordinate your project with general contractors, interior designers, landscape architects, and engineers to make sure construction runs smoothly from start to finish. Jessica’s interests are in the area of project design development, client relationships, sustainable build projects, and development projects. She oversees the production of all phases of construction documents at UDA, and she has a wide range of experience in Custom Residential Design, Multi-Family Residential, Hotel/Mixed Use, Commercial Tenant Improvements, and Building Restoration ranging from 2000 sq. ft. to 70,000 sq. ft. Laurel’s current involvement in the firm centers on the day-to-day function and financial management. Before UDA, she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degree in education from Arizona State University, and was a teacher at the Cartwright School District and Maricopa Country Accommodation School District. She has been part of UDA from its inception to present day and has a vital interest in the health and well-being of the employees, the company, and the clients. As “Mother,” both inside and outside of the office, Laurel is the best grandma around, enjoying time with her grandkids. For the past 16 years, Aaron has been overseeing the development of construction documents, ensuring they meet all code and municipality requirements. When he’s not busy making sure our documents are of the highest quality, his is answering our computer questions as our unofficial “Tech Guru.” In 1994, Aaron came to The Valley and later graduated from University of Advancing Computer Technology with his AS in computer design with an emphasis on architecture. In his “off time,” he enjoys long distance bike riding and the random running race or triathlon. Brandon helps prepare all of our presentational drawings for clients and construction documents, along with creating 3D models using Revit and SketchUp. He graduated in 2015 with his BA in architecture from Arizona State University. In his free time, he loves spending time with his two beautiful children and amazing wife, and is either playing or watching sports.
