You will work with the owner on building operations for running local, small group tours under the Urban Adventures brand. Ideal for someone seeking a new opportunity to support their community and build good relations with local distributors for responsible travel. As a tour guide, you will be responsible for leading interactive, theme-based tours that will provide attendees with enjoyable, engaging and in-depth experiences of the neighborhoods and local businesses of the area. Knowledge and a passion for the Cape Town region, its history, attractions, food and culture is a requirement. Experience leading tours of the main monuments area is not as important as, for example, knowledge of the local food and beverage scene. As we believe the guide is the most important element of our tours, we seek people who are personable, passionate, entertaining and fun, who can ensure that Urban Adventures’ guests have the time of their lives on our tours. The management portion involves coordinating the backend of the business, running office programs, answering emails, and communicating with the owner. We offer rewards for growth in the company, and your personal development goals, strategies for building a new business, and travel interests will be discussed with the owner from the beginning. You will also become part of a larger family within the Urban Adventures network, leading to new relationships with people and support form cities around the globe.
