About Unleash Fido ​ Travis Pepperkorn was born in our nation's capitol, Washington D.C. and raised all over the world from Washington State to Japan. Growing up surrounded by all different kinds of animals from farm animals, domesticated to exotic pets, dogs have always been a favorite. At a young age he was a handler in the AKC show ring but converted to competition sports such as French Ring and Schutzhund. After completing his study at Triple Crown Dog Academy for Theory & Application of Canine Behavior he decided to start Unleash Fido. Besides his dedication to helping people and their four legged family members with behavioral issues, he has a growing passion for the working dog. He currently owns and trains several Belgian Malinois' for competitive sport. Travis has trained many dogs in different specialties and continues to increase his knowledge with every dog and owner he works with.Travis has been married to his beautiful wife Emily for the last 10 years, which he is so grateful for because she is probably one of the few women on earth to allow their husband to have so many dogs lol. Together they have four very energetic boys in order; Christian 10, Austin 7, Forest 5 and last but not least Hayden the DESTROYER 3 years of age! ( She allowed me to have so many dogs because I allowed her to have so many kids! ) Here at Unleash Fido our goal is to teach you how to build a relationship with your best friend through training. Establishing leadership is very important as well, it literally paves the way for the rest of his/her life. No matter the situation, if you are just starting out with a puppy or fixing undesirable behaviors in an older dog Unleash Fido is here to help. Here is some of what we can help you with, whether it is aggression, anxiety, house breaking, basic and advance obedience, or manners etc… Our training programs are tailor made for you and your best friend. We will help you decide which training methods and tools that will allow your dog to reach its highest potential while keeping training fun and result based.
