About Universal Shooting Academy Training Philosophy In addition to Frank Garcia, Universal Shooting Academy has a unique staff of world class competitive shooters and special operations instructors who have extensive experience in their fields. Universal Shooting Academy provides a range of services including Shooting Courses, Tactical Shooting Courses, Local, National, and International Matches and Events, Range Rental, Off-site training, Pro Shop, and Ammunition. Universal Shooting Academy is a premier training and competition shooting facility. The 25 acre range is locate in the heart of central Florida and includes competition and training bays, tactical and sniper and pneumatic reset steel popper shoot off bay. Our Training Philosophy Our Training Philosophy International champions, National Champions, US World Shoot Team members, former special operations soldiers, overseas contractors, former and current law enforcements officers…..these are your instructors at Universal Shooting Academy. Those that can not only teach the craft but can do it! And continue to prove it on the competition circuit. Our small cadre of instructors are able to communicate the knowledge and expertise gained through years of shooting and teaching. Learn more about Universal Shooting Academy instructors: Universal Shooting Academy Founder From March 2004 until October 2007 Frank Garcia has been working as a Department of Defense Security contactor in Baghdad Iraq. He was the Team Lead for the Counter Terrorist Special Operations Force (CTSOF) Iraq Mentor / Instructor program. He was responsible for the Crises Response Training (CRT) of the Iraqi Emergency Response Unit (ERU), a national level, high-end, rapid response law enforcement tactical unit responsible for high-risk arrest, hostage rescue and explosive ordnance disposal. The ERU has conducted a number of successful missions on national level anti-Iraqi force targets, provided support to other Iraqi Ministry of Interior forces, participated in combat operations in Fallujah, Mosul, and other ongoing counterinsurgency operations. Mr. Garcia was an original member of the core of hand selected Training Cadre that started the ERU/CRT. Each year Universal Shooting Academy sponsors and hosts a range of competitive events. We offer multiple disciplines on a regular basis, including: USPSA, IPSC, IDPA, Steel Challenge, 3 Gun, and Sniper competitions.
