United Love Center is a non-profit organization for counseling families with abuse, neglect and other difficulties. We believe life is a remarkable adventure and gift given by God. Therefore, our mission is to help the families thrive throughout each stage of their life development with appropriate guidance in order to assist struggling households in the community with various needs such as family counseling, individual counseling, and being a support system. Donations come in numerous forms and at United Love Center as we appreciate all kinds of contribution whether it be monetary or material. All donations made to United Love Center are tax deductible as we provide acknowledgement letter to the donor. Funding generally comes through arranging fundraisers and grants given to us by individuals and corporations willing to make a significant change in the community. At United Love Center, the door is open for all. Although we have qualified therapists at our disposal, we still encourage people to shake hands with us and together make a change in the community. The United Love Center will be seeking qualified people from: I remember it like it was yesterday. It was one of those days when time refused to move; and in my case, I was thankful it stopped. A young man showed up at my door and requested a listening ear. He asked if I could help his friend like I helped him and his sisters. Without hesitation, I obliged. But, it was the proceeding words that left me paralyzed. He mentioned that his friend was homeless. My first reaction inquired about his parents. The young man blurted, “the mom is roaming the streets using drugs and he has not seen his dad in years.” In that instant, I realized that sometimes we are so fascinated with the cover of a book, that we tend to ignore the contents of the book. You never know a person’s story until you open that first page and begin indulging in the literature. Our program was able to help that child receive food, shelter, clothing, and support. This young man is just one testimony of many.
