Patrick brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the technology industry. Previously, Patrick co-founded and served as CEO for Universal Access, growing the company from a start-up to a $144 million run rate, eventually taking the company public in 2000. He went on to found 20/20 Technologies, which after multiple acquisitions, became Global Capacity. A serial entrepreneur by trade, Grant is a technologist at heart. He most recently served as the CTO at PacketExchange, a London-based global tele-communications firm. He was previously the founder and CEO of Mzima Networks, an Internet service provider that grew to over 40 points of presence around the world. Kelvin has over 25 years of experience managing the finance and accounting functions of both public and privately held companies. Prior to joining Unitas Global, Kelvin served as the Corporate Controller for a national rental car company and CFO for a regional healthcare provider. Additionally, he spent eight years as Regional Controller and then Director of Finance for the Westfield Group. Kelvin is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his MBA in Finance at Indiana University and B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering at University of Hong Kong. Jaime has over 18 years of experience as an IT engineering service manager. She specializes in leveraging ITIL business processes and analysis to create dynamic, highly-available service operations. Most recently, Jaime served as Vice President of Cloud Operations for AOS Cloud. Janet has over 13 years of experience across corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment banking, and public accounting. Prior to Unitas, Janet led the FP&A team at Fullscreen, assisting the company in its equity capital transactions and a successful sale of the company to Otter Media in 2014. Janet also provided finance leadership at Pandora Media both before and after their IPO in 2011. Janet is a licensed CPA and holds an MBA from MIT, an MA in Economics from NYU, and a BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley. Jonathan “Joss” Wynne Evans, Head of Legal Affairs, is an entrepreneur with wide commercial experience and a company lawyer of fifteen years experience. He was formerly general counsel to Global Capacity Inc. He lives and works out of the Highlands of Scotland. Elaine leads the marketing department by integrating startup ideals and enterprise methodologies. With pride and enthusiasm, she manages all internal and external communication while formulating and implementing strategy around cloud solutions, content development, and events. Elaine holds her BA from LMU in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, as well as Travel and Tourism, and a minor in Art History. Farrah has over 18 years of IT experience, primarily in the telecommunication industry. Prior to Unitas Global, Farrah held senior level roles in business development and management at several start-ups, such as Mzima Networks, and Fortune 500 and multinational corporations, such as PacketExchange, GTT, Arbinet, and NTT/VERIO. Farrah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from California State University, Fullerton. As VP of Partner Alliances, Lawrence brings over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Most recently, he served for 8 years as VP of Business Development at Allyance Communications. He has also held key sales and management roles at Nortel Networks, Qwest Communications, and AboveNet. Now based in Southern California, Lawrence has worked and lived abroad in both South Korea and Japan. Erik has over 13 years of management experience in finance, technology, operations, and sales. Prior to Unitas Global, Erik held the position of VP of Sales at CoreSite, a publicly traded data center REIT (NYSE: COR), and served as a senior financial analyst for The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm. Erik holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis on Global Management from the University of Southern California. Bret Maxwell is a Managing General Partner at MK Capital. He is also the Managing General Partner on three of the Productivity Funds totaling $200 million in committed capital. Bret has been a decision-making partner in six other fully invested funds, representing over $300 million in committed capital. Prior to founding MK Capital, he was the co-Founder of First Analysis’ venture capital practice in 1985. Bret’s areas of expertise include outsourced business services, telecom and internet infrastructure, and energy and power infrastructure. Bret is a graduate of The McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University and Kellogg’s Graduate School of Management. He has served as the Chairman of the Illinois Venture Capital Association, and is a director on the board of Mount Sinai Hospital and on the finance committee of the Jewish United Fund. He is also a Certified Financial Analyst.
