About TyTix TyTix, LLC. has been an industry leader in computerized ticketing solutions for over 10 years. The company was formed and built by people with extensive gate and ticketing experience and is now owned by Gene Tylander, who also serves as current CEO of TyTix, LLC. With the acquisition of the MAXtix software, TyTix now has the flexibility to serve fairs and festivals, arenas and stadiums, plus performing arts centers and universities — tailoring the software to the unique needs of a particular venue or event. Gene Tylander is a third generation native Floridian who grew up in the family lumber business in Palm Beach County. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Marketing. When he returned to West Palm Beach after graduation, he rejoined the family lumber business. His father was very active with the South Florida Fair as a Director, then Trustee and finally President. His father’s activity at the fair naturally led to Gene getting involved in the fair as well. Gene seemed to gravitate towards the gate operation and ticketing aspects of the fair. When the South Florida Fair decided to implement Electronic Ticketing using MaxTix in the late 1990’s, Gene was a part of that transition. From that point forward Gene worked with the MaxTix program, as a user and licensee until his purchase of the software from Megasoft in 2007. Gene formed TyTix, LLC in 2001 and began servicing mainly Fairs using the Maxtix software. It wasn’t until Gene owned the software that TyTix began servicing the many Theaters, Performing Arts Centers and Special Events that make up the total client list today. Gene has been married to Alice Smith, whom he met in college, for 40 years, has three children and two grandchildren. Gene has been interested in all forms of electronics since he was 10 years old. He still enjoys keeping up with the newest trends and gadgets. It’s no secret that owning a software business makes that easy. As for free time, Gene likes to spend as much time as possible “camping” in Ft. Wilderness at Walt Disney World in his motor coach that he uses to travel to the various events he services around the country. TyTix Heather knows ticketing and people. With over 19 years in the ticketing industry, Heather has worked box offices in a university, performing arts center, arena and amphitheater and has spent a large amount of time working with fairs. She enjoys working with clients to come up with new ideas for using the software and making their box office more efficient. With a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Idaho, Heather enjoys training new clients and bringing them into the TyTix family. Having used the software as a Box Office Manager, Heather knows the software inside and out and loves working for TyTix with it’s family type atmosphere. Heather has 2 children, Sophia and Chloe who already enjoy the ticketing industry with practicing scanning tickets and traveling. Heather, Joel and the girls enjoy fishing, cooking, traveling, and getting to visit TyTix clients. Heather’s positive attitude and belief that our TyTix clients can do anything make her so much fun to work with! TyTix Alice Tylander is “Mom” of TyTix and assists as needed with accounting, marketing and management. Her resume is as zany as she is with jobs ranging from fundraising, IT, and marketing to interior and structural design consulting. She has worked for E.F. Hutton, The American Heart Association, PGA of America, Gary Player Enterprises, IGP Sports and Entertainment, and The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and Spa. She will proudly tell you about her children who have inherited her “have fun” attitude -- chasing tornadoes, skydiving, skate boarding, snowboarding, swimming, SCUBA diving, sailing, water skiing, ballooning, practicing martial arts, playing basketball and traveling the world.
