Turco McCarthy has been envisioning new spaces for Clients since 2009. Call me, Allyson, at Allyson put together plans for a porch and two bathrooms. This actually spanned multiple year’s she had done some prior work sketching porch design concepts, which we used to decide on our final porch design. For this project, she put together a full permit set. She met with us multiple times to clarify our needs and wants, she provided options and opinions when requested, and she executed the permit set flawlessly. She also worked with the contractor as needed to provide any minor additions that the permit expediter or the city needed / wanted. She was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. She informed us of any time she might be out-of-town in case we needed to reach her; and she was sensitive to our desired timeline to complete the permit set. We were almost completely on budget,with only a slight addition because we expanded the scope of work to have her also include the second bathroom in her permit drawings, which had not been initially included. She was a consistently strong performer, with creative ideas and a thorough understanding of hospitality development. She was extremely diligent and flawlessly responsive to our requests for changes and updates. One of the most business-like and professional architects I have ever worked with. We had a disappointing experience with another architect and a friend recommended Allyson to us. She was very responsive and helpful and had our plans completed and ready to submit to the city in record time. I enjoyed getting to know her and would work with her again. TME Designs did an exceptional job designing a wonderful new deck for our home, as well as designing four new dormers, a new front entrance with a two columned portico and a new driveway with an expanded footprint incorporating two aesthetically pleasing curves. TME Designs was very responsive during our engagement and attended multiple planning meeting, including with our contractors to provide helpful guidance and clarification of the designs. I highly recommend TME Designs and would engage TME Designs if another opportunity arises. Allyson helped my husband and I design our dream home. She was able to take our vision and create a home that we love. She has a “can-do” attitude that makes the sometimes undesirable process much easier to cope with. She is extremely professional and goes out of her way to help in all areas (even those outside architecture).   Helped us plan our attic renovation. We wanted extra space and wanted at least our master bedroom and a bath in our unused attic. She gave us multiple options for how we might do it – including a couple of novel suggestions that we had never considered. We gave feedback and she provided revised drawings until we found something that we thought would work best. She was very patient and creative. I’d highly recommend using her services. Allyson Turco McCarthy was exactly the type of architect I needed for my renovating an investment property in Grant Park. She was involved prior to my purchase of the property to give advice on how the renovation would be done and add value to the property. Her local knowledge and experience were very well relevant in progressing the project through permitting. We had to work through several design options to meet the City’s requirements for renovating a 1927 home. Allyson was professional, flexible and responsive in all our interactions which made her a pleasure to work with.
