TUNWALL RADIO Tunwall Radio LLC manufactures broadcast switch and transmitter control systems. Our products are used by radio stations in markets in all 50 U.S. states as well as Canada. In addition to standard units offered in the TRC Series, we produce custom AM and FM controllers, from simple one switch modifications to multi switch and antenna systems. Steve Tunwall started Tunwall Radio in 2004, after several years of control system design and construction. His broadcast engineering background includes corporate group engineering positions and major market Director of Engineering positions with Clear Channel and Saga Communications. Tunwall Radio service car, 1920s Steve Tunwall's grandfather, Carl Tunwall, Sr., (pictured, above) owned and operated radio station KFJY in Fort Dodge, Iowa in the 1920s and 1930s. Along with the station, his Tunwall Radio Co. also owned a radio store and repair shop. The company unfortunately was one of many casualties of the Great Depression. Other than using the name, we have no connection to the original company. We do however, use the logo and photos of the Tunwall Radio service car (pictured below) in our company literature and on our web site today.
