That was the original vision that spawned Tucker/Hall in 1990. Founders Jeff Tucker and Tom Hall had strong and well-placed networks of business contacts throughout Florida in major corporations, inside state government and throughout the nonprofit community. Jeff Tucker was a veteran business reporter, editor and publisher and Tom Hall had grown a small advertising agency into one of the South’s biggest and best-known marketing companies before the two joined forces to start Tucker/Hall. Today, Tucker/Hall is one of the oldest, largest and most respected independent public relations and public affairs firms in Florida. Shortly after the firm was founded, other senior counselors joined. Today, the Tucker/Hall business model continues to attract a cadre of interesting people with diverse backgrounds and deep experience in government relations, branding and corporate positioning, issues campaigns and reputation management. The “values check” is a standard part of the way we do business. ince 1999, Tucker/Hall has been a national leader in pushing for reform of US policy toward Cuba. We have organized and led grassroots and grasstops efforts to lift the trade and travel blockade. We have taken delegations of elected officials, community leaders and business leaders to Cuba to engage in a meaningful dialogue with Cuban officials, artists and entrepreneurs. Tucker/Hall has also hosted delegations of Cuban officials to the United States and has sponsored and hosted national seminars to educate the US public and business community about Cuba. In 2015, we helped lead the delegation of St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman to Cuba, a group of arts leaders from the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership to Cuba and an inbound group of nine Cuban officials who visited St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay. Tucker/Hall has also represented US businesses who have legally done business in Cuba, cultural groups that had exchanges and nonprofits that visited the country. Most recently we helped broker the historic agreement between the Florida Aquarium and the National Aquarium of Cuba.
