With over 36 years of experience and 20 years as a Coach in the sports of running & triathlon and being a USA Track & Field and USAT certified coach since 1998, I am here to help you achieve your goals from finishing a race, competing according to your expectations or qualifying for important races. Everyone is considered an ELITE athlete to me. I would like to provide you with a brief introduction on my career as an athlete and coach: I was trained by the best of the best in Brazil, Professor Wanderlei de Oliveira, the famous “guru” of track & field and road racing. Wanderlei de Oliveira worked with European Olympic level runners and World record champions from Portugal in the 80’s. I’ve been surrounded by Olympic and National level athletes for over 10 years. In 1997, I decided that my desire to help others exceeded my desire to compete, so I began to coach full time. In 1998 became part of the 1st group of USAT Certified Coaches. With over 36 years of experience and 20 years as a Coach, I know what it takes to get to the next level/s. I work every day with different levels of athletes and different personalities. The most common mistakes that I see everyday are “overtraining” & “under training” and lack of patience from the athlete perspective to “jump” in to long distance racing too soon. Understanding how to train correctly; learn the proper swim technique and pacing; how to use your bike gear & proper bike zones and learning the best running form and knowing what pace to follow (and zones to be in) for all your workouts. These things and much more provide a glimpse of what you will learn when you become a TRI-2-ONE athlete! There is no guessing. There is no room for mistakes.
