History Of Travis Resmondo Sod What is now Travis Resmondo Sod, Inc. seen it's beginning nearly 74 years ago when the Resmondo family acquired a 5 acre track of land where the Miami airport now resides. This was where the Resmondo Sod farm evolved. By 1971 the Resmondo Sod Farm grew to become the largest sod production farm in the Everglades. Then in 1987 the decision was made to relocate and expand the business into the Central Florida area to better service the growing building industry. The Resmondo family leased 972 acres along the fertile shores of Lake Kissimmee. Through honesty, hard work, and a great customer following, they grew into one of Florida's finest turf grass farms. Following the footprints of his family in 1992 Travis Resmondo opened Travis Resmondo Sod, Inc. A sod wholesale, retail sales and installation company that located itself in Dundee, Florida. Due to the hard work and dedication of Travis Resmondo, what began as a small operation in central Florida has grown into a company that includes nearly 120 employees. Travis took the family business to new levels. In 2006 Travis made the decision to take over the complete sod farm operation. Recently Travis expanded the retail sales to include a Orlando retail turf grass location. Today Travis and his staff strive in the continuing effort to make Travis Resmondo Sod, Inc. a successful business and do so on the same business philosophy since day one. Travis is responsible for the everyday direction and operation of the sod farm operations and the overall daily strategies of both the Orlando and Polk County Retail locations.
