His projects included restoration of landmark Victorian homes, as well as buildings on famous Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf. Later, he developed Tom Orban Painting Co. and began painting "custom" homes in Carmel, Carmel Valley, Pebble Beach, and surrounding areas. He moved to Naples, Florida in 1990 and brought with him innovative painting methods that have become industry standards used today. In 1997 formed Tom Orban Painting, LLC., specializing in painting newly-built and existing homes in exclusive developments such as Port Royal, Grey Oaks, Bonita Bay, Quail West, Twin Eagles, and many others. Homes painted by Tom Orban Painting, LLC have been featured in "n-the magazine of naples", "Open House Magazine" (a magazine of interior design and architecture), and newspapers. In addition to his painting company, Tom has coached his two sons in Little League baseball since 1991, and after dedicating four years to its Board of Directors, he was elected President of the Greater Naples Little League in 2002, a position he currently holds.
