Richard and Meghan Titus were born and raised locally in Palm Harbor, Florida. After military service and a decade away from home, they found themselves back home in Lakewood Ranch, Florida with their young son and daughter. While completing a Physics degree, Veteran Sod was a part-time brainchild that helped the Titus Family get through an education, post military service. When Veteran Sod became a full-time, larger scale operating company, Meghan resigned from teaching to complete a second degree in Accounting and took over the accounting department for Veteran Sod and Veteran Tree and Landscape. A lot of hard work, determination and relationship building with some wonderful people of Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton and Sarasota led to the expansive 5-Star rated company that Veteran Sod is today. Veteran Sod has been THE choice for sod renovations in most of the large scale communities in Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Sarasota. Furthermore, these relationships and trust built by Veteran Sod with these communities formulated our subsidiary company, Veteran Tree and Landscape, acquiring the property maintenance contracts for many of these communities. It was a simple transition from renovating and installing beautiful lawns to maintaining them. No terrible military pun intended, but Veteran Sod’s “SERVICE” is what sets them apart from their competition.
